St Peter’s Monumental Inscriptions

St Peter’s Cemetary was located in Market Square, Peel.

These Memorial Inscriptions, noted around 1922 taken by J.J. Joughin & George Clementson, predate the demolition of the church and the landscaping of the graveyard during which many Monumental Inscriptions disappeared, with the rest being rearranged around the walls.

They post date the 18th century ones noted by Feltham in God’s Acre – It is this list is that referred to by J Joughin in his account of St Peter’s] – these have also been transcribed by the IoMFHS – Numbering has been included here as nn:.
